Gary was raised and taught as a drummer by his father who was a sought after percussionist in the Catskills for forty years. Once Gary became an accomplished drummer by age 10 he was inspired to pick up a guitar by a friend. Gary took two years of guitar lessons and then began to teach himself "by ear", learning songs right off the record by age 13. He quickly taught himself bass guitar and piano and started to dabble in singing, writing and multi-track production.
After high school Gary attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music and continued to study guitar and songwriting. Gary's guitar playing was recognized and written about in 2 national magazines in 1993, Guitar Player and Guitar For The Practicing Musician magazines.
Gary toured the world as Jeff Scott Soto's bassist from 2002 till 2008 throughout the US, Australia, Brazil, England, Ireland, Whales, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Holland and France.
During his musical journey, Gary has performed with Neal Schon, Robin Zander, Eric Martin, Dave Meniketti, Joe Lyn Turner, Doug Aldrich and many other less known notables.
Gary was one of the long lasting members of Tampa's Disco Inferno before branching off to The Untouchables and starting his own cover band Category Three in 2008.

He continues to write original music in his spare time and released his 8th solo album in December of 2010. Gary was also voted "Best Intrumentalist - Runner-Up" in the 2010 Creative Loafing Magazine's readers poll.
