Effective immediately!

Announcement! Hear ye, hear ye!

After some brainstorming and thoughts and stuff, last night was the last night as CATEGORY THREE. Only in name. Cat3 is almost 8 years old. It's time for a shift. The only reason I called the band Cat3 was so that the public and fans would know that it was a cover band/show. Any gigs under the name Gary Schutt Band would be an originals show. That was the concept, to keep the two entities separate. The time has come to launch Cat3 as the Gary Schutt Band, build new fans, get my name out more, and focus on getting my music heard and shared. I still have Dan Martin and Tracy Ferrell. That will not change. These guys are fantastic musicians and have been by my side for many years and I appreciate them more than I can ever show.
Wee will still do the same covers as a Cat3 show, and continue to learn more.
So please direct yourself to my Gary Schutt Music Facebook page for updates and gig postings. This will be the last post on Category Three. Also you can bookmark the band calendar off www.garyschutt.com. thanks for your support! Much love!

This website will be gone August 1st - Category Three's 8th birthday.

Wait the storm out, have a few drinks, dance and rock the night away! You will have a great time! (Go home in the morning and call your insurance company!)

Frontman, Gary Schutt’s vision of a versatile high energy entertaining cover band is finally here! Gary, formerly the guitar player for the hugely successful Disco Inferno and later an original member of The Untouchables, steps out from the sidelines of his previous bands and is ready to show the world what he really is made of. Gary and the band will grab your attention as soon as you walk in the venue door.

Gary is joined by two top notch veteran talents, Tracy Ferrell on bass and Dan Martin on drums. Together, these three professional musicians have many years of experience entertaining crowds.

Category Three got voted best cover band (runner-up) in Creative Loafing Magazines "Best Of The Bay" 2010 and Gary Schutt best instrumentalist (runner-up) 2010 & 2011!

Since 2010, C3 has performed prior to Rick Springfield, Grand Funk, Queensryche, Linkin Park, Pat Travers & Boston.
